On 10 March, Andersen proudly announced its transition to a full member of Andersen Global, rebranding after three years as a collaborating firm. By aligning with one of the world’s most respected professional services brands, Andersen has strengthened its ability to deliver world-class accounting, growth partner solutions, tax, and corporate finance services, while remaining firmly rooted in the local market that clients know and trust.

The Andersen name carries a legacy of quality and integrity. Bringing it back to New Zealand was a deliberate choice, made with our clients and our market in mind. Consequently, we are positioned to compete at the highest level and support New Zealand businesses in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

So far in 2025, we completed two acquisitions, welcomed new team members, including senior leaders whom we recruited from the big four accounting firms, rebranded from Bellingham Wallace to Andersen, and established a dedicated offshore team. Each step was taken with a clear vision: to serve our clients better, to innovate, and to build a future that reflects our ambitions.

As a result of taking stewardship of the Andersen brand in New Zealand, we prompted a deep reflection on our strategic direction. We challenged our thinking, collaborated closely, and after several iterations, landed on a future pathway that requires us to grow with purpose. This was a great reminder that it’s critical for all of us to stop and challenge our thinking on a regular basis, and to also be prepared to make a step change. “If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.” This quote, often attributed to Henry Ford, reminds us that growth requires stepping outside our comfort zones.

The North Shore is renowned for its entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and growth, and we are thrilled to be part of its future and to cement our roots on the North Shore once again, with both Matt Bellingham and myself serving as past presidents of the North Harbour Club, and a number of our team living on the North Shore.
