Our Summer Fun Programme starts 2nd December. Join us for free preschool play on Mondays and Wednesdays, and for Family Fun Fridays for primary-aged kids. Takapuna North Community Trust would like to invite you to attend our quarterly Community Network Meeting  on Tuesday 26th November at the Mary Thomas Building, 3 Gibbons Road, Takapuna (12-1.30pm in the Channel View Lounge). This meeting will be an opportunity to network, share contacts and tell our stories. It is for community groups, organisations and individuals interested in their community from the Hauraki Corner to Sunnynook area.

The meeting will take the form of a short presentation by Richard Howard on the history of the Mary Thomas Centre. He will talk about the recently published booklet on the same topic 'Paddocks to Place' which was commissioned by ANCAD. Free copies of the booklet will be available at the meeting. The presentation will be followed by a round robin of brief introductions by attendees (including the areas they are interested in and any relevant projects they are currently working on.) A light lunch will be offered at 1pm, which will give attendees an opportunity to chat and network with each other. Please RSVP to Sarah on the email below if you are able to make it.

A big welcome to our new Takapuna North Environmental Coordinator Fiona Martin, who will be working with local volunteers to implement the environmental plan for Takapuna North. Fiona brings a wealth of community and environmental experience to the role and we look forward to seeing the amazing things she will no doubt achieve in supporting environmental restoration projects in the area from Hauraki to Sunnynook. If you have any questions for her or would like to know more about how you can get involved in environmental restoration, her email is enviro@takapunatrust.org.nz and the North Shore Birdsong project Facebook page is Facebook/northshorebirdsongproject .
