The sweet scent of spring is officially in the air, and what better way to celebrate longer days and lighter evenings than with a trip to the theatre?! This September, The PumpHouse is full of theatrical treats.
First up, we’re thrilled to welcome Michael Hurst ONZM for a Creative Talk on 7 September. With more than 40 years across theatre, film and television, Michael has plenty of stories to tell, and a special connection to The PumpHouse, going right back to playing Richard in 'Richard III' here back in 1991. Come along for a free evening of anecdotes, memories and theatrical wisdom. RSVP is required on our website.
Then, from 9 – 11 September, Albany Senior High School brings Shakespeare’s 'The Winter’s Tale' to life. Expect a fresh, youthful energy in this lively production from up-and-coming stars!
And finally, dust off those office shoes and prepare for some serious paper-shuffling! From 18 September to 2 October, Phoenix Theatre presents Sir Roger Hall’s beloved Kiwi comedy 'Glide Time'. Celebrating 50 years since its first performance, this hilarious workplace classic will be equal parts entertaining and nostalgic.
Every season at The PumpHouse brings its goodness, but spring is an extra special time. New bird life, blooming flowers, vibrant colours; The PumpHouse aesthetic just works with the springtime vibes, and Pupukemoana puts on a delightful show! So pop down and visit us for a whimsical day out – our box office is open Monday – Friday. We’d love to see you!
