July joys at The PumpHouse

Winter is officially here, and while the temperatures may be dropping, things are heating up on stage at The PumpHouse this July.

We kick things off on 3 July with 'With Love, Noteworthy', a vibrant community choir joined by the sensational Off Broadway Big Band. They’ll take audiences on a musical journey through love in all its forms, with songs from icons including Amy Winehouse, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Stevie Wonder. Come and be thoroughly entertained with irresistible toe-tapping moments.

School holidays bring plenty of fun for the whole whānau with 'Old MacDonald’s Farm' from Pearangi Creative from 7–12 July. This lively new show sees farm animals and forest creatures joining forces to save their home from a troublesome newcomer. Packed with singing, dancing, slapstick comedy, audience participation and even a costume parade, it’s a moo-velous day out. Sensory relaxed and NZSL-interpreted performances are also available.

On 10 July, we invite you to gather beneath the stars for Waiatatia mo Matariki in our outdoor amphitheatre. This special community singalong celebrates Matariki through waiata, kōrero, reflection and connection. With waiata books provided, gentle live music, and a cosy winter atmosphere, it’s a beautiful opportunity to come together and celebrate Matariki. Entry from just $5!

Then, as the nights grow darker, the suspense begins. Shoreside Theatre returns with 'The Stranger' from 25 July–9 August, a long-lost psychological thriller by Agatha Christie. When a mysterious stranger enters Enid’s carefully planned life, everything begins to unravel. With Shoreside’s reputation for sold-out seasons, audiences should book early for this gripping mid-winter mystery.

Whether you’re looking for music, family fun, community connection or edge-of-your-seat drama, July at The PumpHouse has something waiting for you!
