We are delighted with our new noticeboard! At the Sunnynook Community Centre, the Sunnynook Catchment PACT group (People, Action, Communication, Trust) works on community resilience and recovery. This group identified the need for a double-sided community noticeboard outside Sunnynook Community Centre for updates on resilience initiatives, events, and project milestones.

We are very fortunate to have received funding from Auckland Council for Impacted Communities Local Recovery Planning Implementation. Massive thanks to Lloyd Olivecrona from Devonport Hire a Hubby for designing and constructing the noticeboard and to Neesha Bremner, community recovery specialist, community and social recovery at Auckland Council's Tāmaki Makaurau recovery office, for all of her support. 

We celebrated Matariki at the Sunnynook Community Centre with a hangi community dinner on Friday 17 July – this was a wonderful community event and we thank the Local Board for funding the dinner.  Thanks also to Ruth Moloney, our community connector, for organising the event.
