Neville’s Island, a comedy by Tim Firth, has been described as a cross between Lord of the Flies and The Office; needless to say, it’s a farcical and hilarious evening out. Four out-of-condition clueless middle managers end up on the Outward Bound weekend from hell: Shipwrecked, wrapped in thick fog and cut off from civilisation with one cold sausage between them, Gordon, Angus, Roy and the hapless Neville are about to experience the misadventure of their lives. With no food or shelter, it doesn’t take long for tempers to fray and already tenuous relationships to disintegrate; to say that team destruction rather than team building takes place is an understatement.
After its August season was interrupted, Neville's Island will now be presented by Company Theatre from 13th-27th November at The Rose Centre in Belmont, and bookings can be made for this very funny and thought-provoking comedy on iTicket.co.nz. Tickets are $27, with concessions $22 and a special offer of $20 for all tickets on Saturday 13th and 20th November.
