Back for another year is our Track Day promotion in conjunction with our premium partner, Mercedes-Benz North Shore. This year the event will be held at the Hampton Downs circuit in November, so get dad in the draw and give him this awesome prize for his Father's Day gift. I was lucky enough to be invited to last year’s event, and I have to say it was an exceptional experience, driving all types of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in a variety of different situations. The best was the G-Wagon experience of turning it 360 degrees on its own axis. Incredible technology. Just what you would expect from the automotive leader, which celebrated 140 years in business this year.
David Schnauer, a well-known local Milford identity, has written a book called ‘Uncomfortable Economics’ where he looks beyond election cycles and short-term fixes, and calls for a renewed national focus on savings, housing, public debt, productivity and long-term policy discipline. He challenges both politicians and citizens to lift their sights and demand more from our economy. It was launched at The Booklover, Milford at the end of July and is available there and in all good bookstores. Check it out – it’s a great read!
