When the way forward isn’t clear

A practical LiiFT Aotearoa workshop will help community leaders make sound decisions in times of change

Do we take on a new opportunity when our team is already stretched? Should we change a programme that fewer people attend? When should we seek more input and when is it time to decide?

For leaders of community organisations, charities, clubs and volunteer teams, these questions are familiar. Decisions often involve limited resources, competing priorities and uncertainty. ANCAD’s LiiFT Aotearoa workshop, Leading with Discernment: Making Sound Decisions in Times of Change, offers practical support for navigating these challenges.

Presented by Hilary Star Foged from Lead, the session will explore how purpose, values, evidence, experience and different perspectives can inform sound decisions. Participants will consider when to act, when to pause and who needs to be involved. Through practical examples and shared discussion, the workshop will also explore communicating decisions clearly and helping people feel safe to contribute ideas and try new approaches. Whether you chair a committee, manage a community service or coordinate volunteers, this is an opportunity to strengthen your judgement and lead with greater confidence.
