You’ll find the new store in the newer part of Milford Centre, next to Stella + Gemma and close to OPSM — bringing DK & Co’s curated collection of European jewellery, bags and accessories to Auckland for the first time.
Behind DK & Co is owner Penny Wilson, whose passion for discovering distinctive European jewellery and accessories has shaped the business for many years. Today, DK & Co brings together a carefully curated collection of brands from across Europe, offering something a little different from the jewellery you’ll find on the high street.
“We’ve always loved finding European brands that have a strong design identity and a story behind them,” says Penny. “There is so much creativity coming out of Europe, and we love being able to introduce those collections to women here in New Zealand.”
Among the names you’ll discover in store are Swedish jewellery brand Edblad, known for its effortlessly wearable Scandinavian design; Danish favourite Dyrberg/Kern, where statement jewellery, colour and personality take centre stage; and Barcelona-based Joidart, whose contemporary pieces are designed and made in Barcelona, Spain.
The collections range from easy everyday pieces through to bold earrings, necklaces and rings designed to make an outfit – making DK & Co just as much about discovering something unexpected as it is finding that perfect finishing touch.
For Penny, opening in Milford was an exciting next step for a business that already has stores in Christchurch and Wellington, alongside its nationwide online store and wholesale business.
“We felt the North Shore was a really natural fit for us,” she says. “Our customers enjoy fashion and design, but they’re also looking for pieces that feel individual. We’re thrilled to finally have a home here and to be part of the local community.”
