Global automotive giant Mazda has appointed Miles Group to represent the brand on Auckland’s North Shore. Miles Mazda officially opened its doors on Thursday 1 October at 16 Fred Thomas Drive, Takapuna, joining the group’s impressive, state-of-the-art automotive complex.
Miles North Shore managing director Craig Innes says the appointment is a significant vote of confidence from Mazda and an exciting milestone for the growing business. “The Miles Group and our business are well known for innovation, exceptional customer service and a genuine passion for our customers and the brands we represent. Mazda Motors of New Zealand describes the prominent Takapuna location as the exclusive new home for Mazda customers on the North Shore. Mazda New Zealand managing director David Hodge says the group's proven commitment to customer experience made Miles the natural partner. “Miles’ track record for superior customer experience makes them the natural partner to represent Mazda on the North Shore, and the timing couldn’t be better. They join at a time when we’re bringing some incredible new Mazda vehicles to the market,” he says.
Craig Innes adds that the Miles team is hugely excited to represent Mazda during such an exciting period for the brand, with several highly anticipated new models arriving. The appointment coincides with the launch of the all-new CX-5 and the all-electric 6e sedan, with the new CX-6e SUV also set to arrive in the coming weeks.

Miles Mazda currently shares a showroom with GWM at 16 Fred Thomas Drive, providing customers with a welcoming space to explore the latest Mazda vehicles.
However, the arrival of Mazda also signals an exciting new phase of development for the Fred Thomas Drive automotive complex. Plans are already underway to construct a brand-new, dedicated GWM showroom, paving the way for the existing shared facility to be transformed into an impressive Mazda showroom.
The planned developments will provide both brands with their own dedicated spaces, further enhancing the customer experience and reinforcing Miles Group's long-term commitment to the North Shore.
