The Business Excellence Network (BEN) Breakfasts continue to be a cornerstone of the North Shore’s business calendar. This July, attendees will hear from one of the initiative’s founding forces, David Schnauer. A well-respected figure in the local business community, David co‑founded Milford law firm Schnauer & Co and, alongside Tricia Schnauer, led the practice for more than 25 years. His legacy also includes launching the BEN Breakfast series in the mid‑1990s with Malcolm Gray, creating one of the region’s most influential business forums – an enduring platform that continues to attract leading speakers.

At this special event, David will share insights drawn from his latest work analysing New Zealand’s economic performance. With decades of legal experience and a lifelong interest in economics, he brings a thoughtful, independent perspective on the key issues shaping the country’s future, offering ideas designed to spark informed and constructive debate.
