Robin Lee, owner of 21 Days Bar and Brasserie, has called the North Shore home for the past 26 years. A lifelong passion for great food inspired him to open the Browns Bay restaurant nine years ago, creating a welcoming, family-friendly destination for exceptional steak. Specialising in wagyu and dry-aged beef, 21 Days takes its name from the twentyone-day ageing process used for most of its premium cuts. Robin and his team are passionate about quality, boasting one of only three American broilers in New Zealand and the country's largest selection of wagyu cuts.
Channel Mag: Is Instagram a source of inspiration for 21 Days Bar and Brasserie? Who do you recommend following and why?
Robin Lee: Instagram is a great way for us to stay connected with the suppliers and producers we work with. Westmere Butchery is well worth a follow – they supply some of our beef and their behind-the-scenes content shows the craft that goes into quality meat before it ever reaches a restaurant.
Which other local businesses do social media well?
Not a local business, but the Browns Bay Business Association does a great job of storytelling, showcasing what's happening locally and the businesses around us.
What’s happening at 21 Days Bar and Brasserie that you want locals to know about?
Our menu changes seasonally, and there's always a monthly special dish worth coming in for. We also run regular wine tastings hosted by international wine expert Gavin Hubble, which have become a favourite with our regulars.
