The community turned out in force at Birkenhead United AFC’s Battle of the Boots fundraiser, supporting Multiple Sclerosis Auckland and launching MS Awareness Week. Held at Shepherds Park on Sunday 13 September, the family-friendly event brought together local personalities, sportspeople and supporters for an afternoon of football, fundraising and community spirit. Spectators enjoyed exciting on-field action, food, raffles, auctions and entertainment. Funds raised will help support Aucklanders living with multiple sclerosis and their whānau. Thanks to MS Auckland, Birkenhead United AFC, Harcourts Cooper & Co, volunteers, sponsors and everyone who supported the event.
