Together with Bayleys Real Estate, the Rotary Club of Devonport organised the fifth Homes of Devonport Tour which was held on Friday 4th November. An absolute rip-roaring success, the event was lauded by all as the best yet with a wonderful mix of homes to experience, and even the weather played its part, making it a picture-perfect day to showcase some of the best of Devonport's homes. With all 700 tickets sold over a week before the event, the funds raised exceeded all expectations, enabling Rotary to donate $20,000 to Harbour Hospice, $20,000 to Dementia Auckland, $11,000 to local schools, kindergartens and clubs, plus the Devonport Rotary Charitable Trust will be able to assist with local community projects. This fabulous bi-annual event is only possible due to the wonderful goodwill from the generous home owners, volunteers and sponsors.
