Supporting Beneficiary Families During Covid 19

Wilson Home Trust: Update

While the Wilson Home Trust team can’t be onsite at the moment, we have been working remotely for the past two months and will continue to do so until for the foreseeable future. This has been a particularly busy time for the Trust team as we have reached out to many of our beneficiary families throughout our Trust deed area, to provide information and support.

Some of our families have limited or no internet access, while others live in areas where supermarkets don’t provide delivery options and organisations such as the Salvation Army and City Mission don’t exist. For some trying to get food for their families has become their top priority. Trying to make contact with some of the organisations who do provide support has been challenging and time consuming, so the team at the Trust have been filling some of these gaps temporarily to ensure families have food, heating, medication and other necessities via our emergency grant funding support.

We encourage any families with a physically disabled child or young adult under the age of 22, who live in the upper North Island and may need support as a result of the Covid 19, to contact us as soon as possible via phone, text or email. We can respond and provide support within two working days.

To contact the Trust team, you can phone 09 488 0126 if in Auckland or 0800 948 787 from outside of Auckland, email info@wilsonhometrust.org.nz or text or call Carol on 027 223 0386.
