With around 4,000 carparks, it’s even easier to shop in Takapuna! We’ve done the numbers, and the highest rate of available car parks is on Saturday mornings - so why not bundle up the kids, head in to Takapuna and make a day of it! Take a look around Shore City Shopping Centre, and then stroll down Hurstmere Road for the boutique offerings – plus that coffee and muffin (or savoury treat) to keep you going! Discover one of the fantastic eateries you haven’t tried before, grab some lunch, then take the kids down to the beach playground to run off all the extra energy – or simply take a walk along the beach front.
At the end of this month comes our annual I Love Takapuna Christmas Carnival! Come celebrate with us on Saturday, 30th November, along Hurstmere Road and Hurstmere Green from 10am to 3pm. The road will be filled with free and exciting entertainment for the kids and kids-at-heart including food and market stalls, interactive stage shows, circus performers, Sammy the Steam Train, giant games and puzzles, bouncy castles, face painters and a visit from Santa himself! We will also have the Takapuna Youth Brass and the North Shore Brass Academy performing some musical items to get you into the festive mood - so, mark your calendars and don’t miss out, it will be a fantastic day out for the family.
Takapuna is already gearing up for another great summer, with the return of our beloved summer events like the Harcourts Cooper & Co Beach Series, an all-ages Beach Run, Coastal Run, Stand-Up Paddle and Ocean Swim series. It's happening every Tuesday evening in Takapuna until the end of summer so grab your friends, family and the kids and join us for a summer of fun, fitness and healthy competition.
We’re also already looking into January, as we plan to continue celebrating summer in all its glory with our Summer Days Festival coming back on the 18th January at Takapuna Beach. Whether you want a great day out with the kids or you simply want to kick back and relax by the beach while listening to great music, we have you covered.
