Benefitz have been helping to put the finishing touches on the wonderful AUT Millennium facility over recent months with the installation of some impressive signage. Over $13 million has been invested in the development of the facility by the charitable trust since 2010.
Benefitz has been a supplier of a range of services to 'the Millennium’ since 2004, 13 years. These services include design, printing, display and signage.
The most recent work completed by Benefitz includes mainly exterior signage. There are six large directional plinths. These plinths have been fabricated, clad and sign written by Benefitz with both acrylic and vinyl cut logos and lettering. A feature of each plinth are solar powered LED’s that illuminate the acrylic lettering at night.
Large acrylic exterior signage has also been produced and installed on the main AUT Millennium building and vinyl cut lettering applied to the entrance face of the recently opened Owen G Glenn Pool building.
“I love visiting AUT Millennium as it really does show off the range of items we can produce,” says Benefitz Managing Director Aidan Bennett. “The latest signage pieces we have installed are impressive, but so to are many other elements we have produced and installed in recent years. These include many large printed images throughout the facility – in the pools and the gyms etc.”
AUT Millennium is a charitable trust established to help New Zealanders live longer and healthier lives and to enjoy and excel in sport through the provision of world-class facilities, services, research and education. In the 1990’s, New Zealand was falling behind the rest of the world in our ability to prepare athletes capable of winning on the world stage. Leading North Shore businessmen, Sir Graeme Avery and Sir Stephen Tindall, decided to do something about it, and with the founding organisations and generous supporters and donors, established the Millennium Institute of Sport & Health, which opened in 2002. Since then, the Institute has gone from strength to strength, providing world-class facilities for the nation’s best athletes and local athletes alike, and highly valued community sport and exercise programmes. AUT University, a national leader in exercise science and public health and nutrition, became the Institute’s Tertiary Education Partner in 2002.
AUT Millennium is now home to a diverse range of organisations from sports clubs and national sporting organisations through to medical services and AUT Millennium-run programmes and services for the community, local schools and sports organisations.
